This cocobolo wood ring with purple opal inlay and carbon fiber sleeve is concocted and created by one of our very own, The Milky Way was inspired by our interstellar home. Crafted with cocobolo wood, purple opal, and a hidden glow powder, this ring mirrors the dark colors of our galaxy. Slip The Milky Way on your finger and you'll find yourself deep in space, or at least deep in an existential crisis about the meaning of our existence.

As for the ring, the combo mentioned in the title makes it quite fun when there is direct lighting on the ring. It's mesmerizing to play with the ring and watch the twill pattern interact with the light. The gloss gives the CF weave a lot more depth, that's a big win over the standard Ultralight Racer.
Subtle and sophisticated, just how I like it!
I've had this ring for a few years now (I forget when the kickstarter went live), with active wear for 7 years as my wedding band. Due to daily wear and myself not always taking it off before doing various tasks (including firewood, landscaping and other manual labor) there are a few minor chips, but no scuffs or scratches. For what I've put it through, it has more than held up it's end of the bargain.
I absolutely recommend this band. It's incredibly light, and you'll barely realize it's even on.
