FAQs

SHIPPING AND EXCHANGES:

What is your Return & Exchange Policy?
Sizing a ring isn’t always easy and since carbon fiber rings can’t be “resized” like metallic rings we offer free exchanges and will pay the shipping cost to get the new ring back to you (within the U.S.A.). For International exchanges, we require the purchase of additional postage. Please reach out to us within 30 days of receiving your ring. Of course, if it is a gift, you might exceed the 30 days. Just let us know. And ALWAYS, if you still don’t absolutely love your ring, we will refund you 100% of the purchase price. See our Returns & Exchanges page for more details and submission form.

What is your refund policy?

If you are not 100% pleased with your purchase you can return it for a full refund up to 30 days after we ship! If you would like to return your ring for a refund please fill out our Free Exchanges form and we will get back to you with the details. We will have you ship the ring back to us before we issue the refund.

How quickly will my ring ship?

(Updated 11/20/2023) Pure carbon fiber rings generally ship within 3 business days. Everything else may take up to 3 weeks to fulfill. If your need is pressing, please contact us.

RING SIZING

Although you might have been “sized” to a 1/4 size (ie 9.25 vs 9.5) we have never found a case where the 1/4 sizing is actually required. The biggest variable is in fact the width of the ring you choose. If you are getting a ring in 8mm or 10mm width, you can generally round down a quarter size. If you are getting a 4mm or 6mm width ring you can round down a quarter size to the next whole or half size. General guidelines and a FREE ring sizer is made available here to take some of the guesswork out of it! Since each human hand is unique we will always have a fantastic return and exchange policy in place (see above).

*Note - Sized at a jewelry shop? Did they use a narrow (~2mm) metal sizer? If you answered yes to both of these AND you plan to order a ring width of 8mm or 10mm, please order the size ring located in "Special Column" below.

Other Questions

Can these ring be engraved?
Yes, carbon fiber rings can be engraved. They can also be laser etched although special experience may be required to do so effectively. We do not necessarily recommend it and are not set up to do it.
Carbon Fiber Ring Maintenance – Water, Chemicals, & Scratches?
100% ALL CARBON FIBER RINGS – Pure carbon fiber rings do not require any day to day up keep. They are incredibly durable and require no finishes or sealants. Our 100% Carbon Fiber Rings are chemical resistant and hypoallergenic. They require no maintenance and can take almost anything you throw their way. Even though carbon fiber composite rings are incredibly durable, chips and scratches can happen. If your ring gets scratched or chipped you can very simply buff it out with sandpaper. For lighter blemishes use a fine grit sandpaper (800-2000) with a little bit of water or oil. For deeper or larger scratches use a heavier grit sandpaper (220-600) and then follow it up with a lighter polish (1000-2000 grit) to ensure a nice smooth finish.
WOOD & CARBON FIBER RINGS MAINTENANCE – Natural Wood hybrid rings require a bit more care. Each hybrid ring we make is built on a solid carbon fiber foundation which offers greater strength than traditional wood rings. This not only helps prolong the life of the ring it adds a unique visual element too. Try to avoid activities that might compromise the finish and structural integrity of the wood. For example: exposure to harsh chemicals, over washing or drying the ring, extended submersion in water and rough treatment. We recommend removing your wood hybrid ring before any heavy lifting, moving furniture etc.
Our wood hybrid rings are designed and made with a waterproof sealant so they can withstand the occasional shower and hand wash however we recommend avoiding those things because water damage can seep in and destroy the ring from the inside through micro cracks. We offer free refinishes on wood ring for up to 6 weeks after purchase (although we are reasonable people). Depending on the severity of the blemish or fade refinishing rings can be done at home as well. Use beeswax for light blemishes and color fades. For more severe blemishes, advice, more questions, or to schedule a refinish please contact us using the form here.
What’s up with the shipping containers?
We are kind of geeks about our packaging. Each ring is packaged in our own designed and hand etched tin or in our amazing collapsible shot glasses. Rings are positioned vertically within each tin and held in place by hand stamped cork while the rings packaged in our collapsing shot glasses are laid in a clean bed of moss.
Is carbon fiber electrically conductive?
Yes. Real carbon fiber is absolutely electrically conductive and you should NEVER wear carbon fiber rings if you are working with electricity in any manner. Here is a list of conductive and non conductive rings It’s a common misconception that carbon fiber rings are perfect for electricians but don’t be fooled. This idea stems from poorly made knock-off “carbon fiber” that is in fact black dyed fiberglass. Real carbon fiber is conductive. Our carbon fiber rings are made out of real carbon fiber.
I’m an electrician, what ring is best for me?
The Silver Twill Ultralight Ring is fabricated using a silver colored glass woven in a 2×2 twill pattern offering the classic carbon fiber look while minimizing electrical conductivity. This ring wasn’t just  made for electricians but anyone and everyone else too! Although that is our recommendation you can view our non-conductive wedding ring options post to learn about other options.

 What makes glow rings glow?
Our glow rings work from a luminescent powder that is infused with resin and then built into the ring. This is where I don't have as much info as Rylan would but basically there is a chemical mixture of strontium aluminate europium dysprosium, I think, and that combined with a color pigment creates the glow powder.

How long do glow rings last?  Glow rings last up to 5 minutes of intense glow with just a 30 charge with UV light. After that intense discharge of glow they'll continue to emit glowing light for a few hours. Basically glow rings will glow as long as they are charged. The more they are exposed to UV light the longer and stronger they glow. They can continue to glow for up to 12 hours after a 10 minute charge with UV light. A good trick to make sure your glow ring glows all day is to place it on the dash of your car in the morning when you drive into work, the sun exposure will charge the ring enough to glow all day and well into the night.

If you want longevity/durability than they last a lifetime! The resin + carbon combo is the heartiest combo we have.
